Feature — Library

A photo library for your fanzine — captions, credits and metadata kept.

Drop in your photos, organise them, and caption them in batches. Aldo reads the EXIF automatically — camera, lens, date — and never touches your originals.

The Aldo Reborn photo library on macOS — photos with EXIF metadata, captions and credits

Your photo metadata shouldn’t vanish

Import photos into most layout tools and the story behind them — the camera, the date, your caption — disappears. Aldo Reborn keeps it. Every photo carries its metadata, editable in bulk, and it can flow straight into your zine’s index.

How it works

Auto-filled from EXIF Camera, lens and date are read from each photo on import — no retyping the basics.
Batch editing Select many photos and set captions or credits once — applied to all of them at the same time.
Originals stay untouched Edits live inside the project and are never written back to your source files.
Feeds your index Captions can populate an automatic index page at the back of the zine.

Does Aldo Reborn read EXIF data? +

Yes. On import, it reads the camera, lens and date from each photo and pre-fills the metadata, so you don’t have to type the basics.

Will editing captions change my original photos? +

No. All edits are stored inside your project file and are never written back to your source images.

Can I caption many photos at once? +

Yes. Select multiple photos and set a caption or credit once — it applies to all of them.

What photo formats are supported? +

JPEG, PNG, HEIC, RAW (from most cameras), TIFF, WebP and AVIF, among others.

Can captions appear in the zine? +

Yes. Photo captions can flow into an automatic index page at the back of your zine.
